Newest League Rules
The 6th Owners' League Annual Draft was held in three sessions on March 24, 27 and 30, 1999. Some quick facts about it follow.
The highest paid players: Orlando Hernandez (acquired by the Bidons for L. 38,100), Mark Clark (Christians, L. 37,100), Jaret Wright (Topos, L. 36,800), Dave Burba (Topos, L. 33,400). The highest paid batter, Edgar Martinez, left unprotected by the Mikes for salary purposes, came fifth (bought by the Bucks for L. 21,600).
You should note that only the unprotected players (or those who hadn't been drafted the year before) are available for the Draft, along with the rookies and the newcomers from the National League. You can find the complete roster for each team in the appropriate page.
Very soon, you'll be able to follow the season's statistical developments on our stats page.
Other pages for our friends online:
You can see all the statistics of the 1998 DiamondMind Baseball Championship; they are provided, as usual, by courtesy of the Flowers Home Page.
- A complete list of the keepers for each team (see also the reference page on the same matter).
- A complete list of the players drafted by team (a reference page is available on this matter as well).
- An updated team by team analysis in our usual Teams page, a fan favorite; it displays a roster analysis with the projected lineups for each team, along with pictures of the owners (that's the sad part).
- The latest edition of this year's statistical recap for each and every player involved in our game. This page is updated weekly throughout the season, and is the best reference tool to evaluate the current strengths and weaknesses of each team. It is a safe Word file (no macros, no viruses or stuff like that. Just plain baseball)
